DCB successfully completed operation of design convergence specialized start-up center.
- DCB ran a free creative experience program for elementary, middle and high school students in Busan.
- Despite the COVID-19, 2,877 people have completed the training, exceeding their target number.
Design Council Busan(President, Dr. Kang, Kyung-tae) successfully completed operation of its design start-up experience program in 2020.
DCB, selected as the Busan Regional Creative Experience Center operator in 2020, has provided elementary, middle, and high school students with entrepreneurship education based on local specialized industries to develop creative problem-solving skills and increase future social contribution.
In particular, DCB provided five programs to students through the Design Convergence Specialized Start-up Center operation based on the design industry, a Busan representative industry.
▲ 'Visual Design Process,' which learns to communicate its vision and philosophy to consumers through brand logo design.
▲ 'Product Design Process', which experiences the product planning and design process required for start-ups by preparing a product plan.
▲ 'Fashion Design Process' builds the foundation for growth as a single-person creative company by learning basic knowledge necessary for brand item composition and practical skills.
▲ 'Design Marketing Course' is a program for start-up clubs that explores the design process, such as writing business plans and designing brand logos, and the marketing methods suitable for business items.
▲ 'Design start-up project course,' a practical start-up education program for participating in the youth start-up competition.
As elementary, middle, and high schools were restricted from going to school and non-face-to-face online classes became common, video classes were conducted using school-specific education platforms in May, exceeding the target number of trainees by 127%, with a total of 2,877 people completing education.
KIM, EUN-MYOUNG, Design Promotion Department manager, said, “By operating the design convergence specialized start-up center online, more students were able to access it easily.” adding, “In the future, we will do our best to help students develop their capabilities with educational programs that utilize field experience.”
