Influencers in love with Busan Fashion Designer Brand

  • In response to the COVID-19 crisis, DCB created the results of ‘Enhancing the Competitiveness of Fashion Designers through Media Marketing.’

Local fashion brands that participated in the "Fashion Designer Capacity Enhancement Support Project" led by DCB show remarkable growth.

"Herbish Korea" (CEO Cho Yeon-jung), a loungewear designer brand from Busan Fashion Creation Studio, saw its sales grow about 700% year-on-year in 2020 due to exposure of loungewear dress products through the famous influencer YouTuber channel.

Brands produced by Busan Fashion Creation Studio, including "DeepQual", "Studio Dipera", "Yorkel", "Malen", "Maxiv", "Chelba", "DTMC" and "Kang Jeong-Seok", are also expected to maximize the promotion effects with influencers.

"In 2020, we focused on the online marketing of designer brands to cope with Corona19, and focused on securing product promotion channels such as online media platforms, Social Media, and live commerce by matching customized experts." said the Busan Design Promotion Agency.

The "Fashion Designer Capacity Enhancement Support Project" is part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's fashion and culture industry promotion project, and DCB has fostered up-and-coming designers in Busan since 2019 and strengthened their capabilities to grow into global designers.

Through this project, DCB supports competency training, 1:1 in-depth consulting, and overseas market consulting through matching with experts in various fields such as fashion design, branding, start-up and management, intellectual property rights, marketing, import and export management. DCB also provides fashion creation studios, workspaces, and filming spaces to strengthen fashion designers' capabilities and focus on creative activities.

Ma Jung-hoon, Head of Textile Fashion Team, DCB said, “The influencer marketing market trend is rapidly changing as the "Ontact" culture, adding the concept of "Connect" to "Untact" in the aftermath of COVID-19. Influencers and New Media Platform will meet to discover and support various businesses through new digital marketing.”
