Dr. Kang won commendation from the Minister of Public Administration and Security commendation to respond to Covid-19 in 2021 on April 20th.

From the beginning of 2020, when Covid-19 began to spread nationwide, he ordered the number of visitors to the DCB building and 43 tenant companies to take preemptive measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

First of all, DCB quickly established a quarantine system by unifying the access routes of the building, adjusting the traffic line, and attaching antibacterial films and sterilization devices in the elevator. Since then, active and thorough quarantine has been carried out by installing partitions and limiting the number of people using rental facilities to 50% compared to the average level by the Busan Metropolitan Government's quarantine measures.

Thanks to such efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19, more than 110,000 outside customers, including 43 companies, visited the DCB annually.

In addition, 36 companies were reduced by 55 million won in rent for three months in 2020 to support tenant companies overcoming deterioration in management, fearing damage to local small and medium-sized enterprises.

DCB also actively recommended the use of telecommuting and flexible work systems to prevent infection of employees, and installed a large transparent acrylic booth to minimize close contact to protect quarantine personnel at the entrance on the first floor.

DCB actively responded to the financial situation to overcome Corona 19 by cutting labor and expenses while increasing various corporate support projects and returning salaries, and donating money to share the pain of the economic recession.

Dr. Kang said, “Although it was unstable and challenging after the Covid-19 outbreak, it responded systematically with preemptive and active efforts by executives and employees.” adding, “Until the end of Covid-19, we will continue to remain vigilant and make every effort to overcome the epidemic.”
