The 8th president of Design Council Busan, Kang phil-hyun

 

• Inaugurated DCB director on October 26th emphasis on the role of the design industry in creating a new market.

Kang phil-hyun, former head of the Korea Design Promotion Agency Innovation Growth Division, took office on October 26 as the eighth director to lead Design Council Busan.

Director Kang phil-hyun graduated from Konkook University's Department of Industrial Design and obtained a master's degree in industrial design from Korea University. He is also a design policy development expert who has served for 29 years at the Korea Design Promotion Agency since 1992 and has served as the head of the Innovation and Growth Headquarters and the head of the Strategic Research Office.

The new director said, "The Busan Design Promotion Agency should create policies that the Busan Design Industry and the design industry expect and support, and to build a system for all members to sustainably grow their professional capabilities." in his inauguration speech emphasizing the leadership.

Adding, “Busan Metropolitan City should establish itself as a representative design city in Korea by promoting public design policies that fulfill social responsibility for Busan citizens and ecosystem creation policies to encourage the Busan design industry.”

He expressed his ambition that the efforts and passion of the DCB will lead to achievements strongly supported by the Busan design community and citizens.
